Fouriesburg Information

A small farming community, Fouriesburg was founded in 1892 and named after one Christoffel Fourie. The town and surrounds offers a wide range of activities and is the quieter alternative to Clarens, just 30kms away.

Nestled in the heart of the mountainous Eastern Free State, the countryside is guaranteed to take your breath away.

The town is situated in the beautiful Eastern Free State Highlands of South Africa, and surrounded by magnificent views of mountains and colourful sandstone cliffs.

Accommodation for visitors is comprised of a choice of Bed & Breakfast, full board, self-contained cottages, camping and caravan sites. Overlooking the majestic Maluti Mountains, Fouriesburg is an ideal gateway to explore the Kingdom of Lesotho.
